About Howard Wolf-Rodda

Howard Wolf-Rodda practices law in the Washington metropolitan area representing both businesses and individuals in their dealings with the government and their relationships with others in the private sector. For nearly 20 years, he has represented clients ranging from some of the largest federal contractors to small businesses.

Strategy is at the center of his work. Strategy drives his approach to achieving his clients' goals whether he's providing day-to-day guidance or representing them in bet-the-company litigation. Negotiating the nuances of a contract, analyzing the minutiae of government regulations, or battling one's adversaries should never be done without first identifying the best path to achieving these goals—after all is said and done, it's the big picture that counts.

He counsels clients regarding their government contracts, private transactions, construction projects, and insurance coverage. He advocates for his clients when disputes arise and represents clients facing government investigations.

Howard formed Wolf-Rodda llc in 2012 to serve newly emerging and growing companies that do business with the federal government. He previously practiced in the Washington, DC offices of two prominent national and international law firms. He also spent several years at a highly respected regional firm in Baltimore, MD. Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Diana Gribbon Motz, Circuit Judge, US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Associate Judge, Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.

Howard is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the bar of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is also a member of the bars of the US District Courts for the District of Columbia and the Districts of Maryland and Colorado. In addition, Howard has litigated cases in state and federal trial courts in California, Massachusetts, Virginia, Florida, New York, and Illinois. Howard also has filed briefs and/or appeared before the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the District of Columbia, the Maryland Court of Appeals, and the US Supreme Court.

Howard has represented long established international corporations, well-heeled business owners, and many others who have enjoyed the bounty of our society. However, Howard firmly believes that the law is not merely reserved for the privileged or the popular. Throughout his career, he has taken on pro bono assignments, some quite unpopular, and been a leader in supporting legal services for those who live in poverty.

Before undertaking his legal career, Howard worked in politics as a campaign organizer and political consultant. He also worked for several Washington, DC area organizations organizing or providing services for fundraising events, conferences and educational travel groups.
